I am a researcher in international law based at the School of Law within University College Cork in Ireland. Here, I work on the Law and the Inner Self research project funded by an Irish Research Council (Consolidator) Laureate Grant (IRCLA/2022/2628) and led by Dr. Patrick O’Callaghan.
I studied law at Freie Universität Berlin in Germany and completed the German First State Exam and a degree in German law with specialisation in public international and EU law . After my law studies in Germany, I pursued an LLM in international law at University College London and completed my PhD (Thesis: Self-Determination of Peoples in the Context of Supranational Governance) at Middlesex University London shortly after.
Besides my research, I have a passion for learning languages, which coincidentally are a valuable asset for my research as well. As such, I speak eight languages to varying degrees of fluency in speaking, reading, writing and listening comprehension. These languages are:
| Language | Speaking | Reading | Writing |
| German | native | native | native |
| Italian | fluent | fluent | fluent |
| English | fluent | fluent | fluent |
| French | Intermediate | fluent | fluent |
| Spanish | Functional | fluent | functional |
